Member in the Spotlight: Lauren Zuza

Lauren Zuza is a member of the Membership Committee, which focuses on initiatives that drive, support, recruit and sustain the membership of the Chapter. Activities surround welcoming and orienting new members, planning new member orientation breakfasts and evening networking events, and collecting member feedback for the purpose of attracting and retaining members.

A recent Building Construction graduate from the Georgia Institute of Technology, Lauren served as founding secretary for the SMPS-GT chapter while simultaneously interning with McKenney’s.  McKenney’s, voted one of Atlanta’s and Charlotte’s “Best Places to Work”, is one of the largest mechanical contractors in the United States with over 60 years of excellence and industry leadership.  Lauren currently provides business development support and assists in CRM development for the company.

In her free time, Lauren is kept busy by cheering on the Yellow Jackets and taking care of her two saltwater fish tanks.

What I love about SMPS Atlanta: "SMPS Atlanta continues to be an amazing tool for me as I transition into the professional A/E/C industry.  The overwhelming support I have received from every member I have met is truly impressive.  In addition to the networking events, I particularly enjoy the personal development opportunities that stem from the boot camp series and other programs."
