Member in the Spotlight: Whitney Thrower

Whitney Thrower is a member of the Programs Committee, which develops, plans and produces all educational luncheon programs related to timely topics that affect the A/E/C industry.  These programs are designed to provide unique insights to attendees that can be translated into action plans at the company level.

Responsible for the corporate branding and communication strategy for Hardin Construction Company, LLC, Whitney manages and orchestrates all internal and external communications and oversees the consistency of their brand in the marketplace.  With the Company for eleven-plus years and as to be expected in her role, she enjoys promoting the Hardin brand. Celebrating more than 66 years in the industry, Hardin offers general construction, construction management, design-build and renovation services nationwide to a variety of markets.  They have offices in Atlanta, Austin, Orlando, Raleigh and Tampa.

A graduate of the University of Georgia, Whitney is an avid Dawg fan, who spends most of her spare time enjoying her family; husband, Trey, and daughter, Lolly (2).

What I love about SMPS Atlanta:  "My involvement in SMPS Atlanta supports my role as Director of Marketing and Public Relations. Not only does it provide me with helpful tools as new challenges arise, but the network of peers serves as a valuable resource for creative ideas and knowledge sharing.  The more I engage in the organization, the more I improve my ability to serve influentially as a marketing professional in the A/E/C industry."
