SMPS Atlanta Calendar - 2012-13

The SMPS ATL Calendar 2012-13 has been posted! Click to view the calendar on a larger scale and/or print. The calendar will be available online and at every SMPS Atlanta event and program.

We have some great events and programs planned for this year including our always popular Boot Camp Series and the continuation of Group Therapy back to help address lessons learned and to  provide open discussion for professional advice. The group therapy sessions will provide a forum for members to work together to offer suggestions, solutions and follow-up.

Download the calendar and come join us for another year of outstanding events, programs, and speakers!

Member in the Spotlight: Jill Lerner

Jill Lerner is Director of Marketing for Benning Construction Company and an enthusiastic new member of SMPS, circa summer 2012. She serves on the SMPS Programs Committee. Benning Construction is a fourth generation, employee-owned regional general contractor based in Smyrna. Jill joins Channing Mason, Director of Operations for Benning Construction, as an SMPS member.

A native of New Jersey, Jill has lived in Atlanta for eight years, via Boston. She is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of University of Wisconsin-Madison. Earlier in her career, Jill worked as an award-winning business reporter, most recently, for Atlanta Business Chronicle, where she covered the commercial real estate industry. Jill is a past finalist for the Atlanta Press Club's "Journalist of the Year Award," and in 2001, she was named "Small Business Journalist of the Year - Massachusetts," by the U.S. Small Business Administration.

What I love about SMPS Atlanta: "I love SMPS both for the incredible warmth and marketing acumen of its membership. From the moment I joined, several members went out of their way to personally welcome me and invite me to lunch. They made me feel like family from Day One. In the short time that I've been involved, I've had the pleasure of attending multiple Boot Camps, panel luncheons and social gatherings, all of which not only were fun but absolutely helped me sharpen my marketing and BD skills."
