Member Spotlight - Serena Fountain

Serena Fountain is a Marketing Coordinator with Coffman Engineers. Coffman is a multi-discipline engineering firm with 15 offices across the United States. Serena has been with Coffman for 11 years, starting her career in the A/E/C industry with Coffman’s Los Angeles office. She recently joined Coffman’s team in Atlanta, supporting the Southeast Region where they provide primarily fire protection, life safety, corrosion, and electrical engineering (including RCDD).

Serena has been a member of SMPS since 2008. In 2018, she joined the SMPS Atlanta Chapter to better connect herself within the A/E/C industry and build her network and knowledge of the local market. She is a member of the chapter’s Membership Committee, and her involvement through the Membership Committee has helped her gain a solid foundation in the chapter. She could not be more grateful for the support she has received so far, and she looks forward to the opportunities and knowledge SMPS offers its members. Serena is also involved with the exclusive Georgia “BUILT,” a members-only organization focused on high-level community building and networking, through Coffman’s membership in the organization. Serena enjoys participating in the events the organization throws.

Coming from California, Serena is enjoying all that Georgia has to offer. She likes to spend most of her personal time outdoors with friends and family, whether it’s a barbeque, a hike, or a good game of cornhole. She looks forward to continuing to explore and learn more about her new home here in Atlanta. Serena always welcomes suggestions for those “must see” places!

"My favorite thing about SMPS is the support and understanding everyone has for one another. We all have been the “newbie” at one point, the mentorship and guidance I have received so far from this chapter goes above and beyond. I have not only met new colleagues but have also made genuine friends. SMPS is an important tool in my career, giving me the connections and boost we all need to succeed.” - Serena Fountain
