Mental Health Awareness Month Toolkit

SMPS Atlanta Recognizes Mental Health Awareness Month in May

Research shows that “over the course of the past decade, there’s been increased willingness to recognize mental health as an essential part of one’s well-being.” Psychology.com defines mental illness as a state that occurs when our mental health is compromised or neglected for so long that it affects one’s ability to handle life’s peaks and valleys with grace and composure. Mental health is a key part of overall health that can impact your vitality. It’s important to take the time to learn more about mental health and take care of your own mental wellbeing. SMPS Atlanta’s DEI council shares some resources to celebrate and raise awareness of the importance of protecting mental health. Check out the Mental Health Toolkit below filled with a list of links to learn about the benefits of self-care.
