Nate Hammond graduated from Florida State University with a degree in Mechanical Engineering and has over 17 years of experience in engineering and business operations. Currently, he is the Atlanta office Managing Director and Vice President for Hammond Engineers. He’s responsible for client satisfaction, project management, design production, and more.

He joined SMPS in 2019 and wasted no time diving in! He serves on the Atlanta Board as the Director-at-Large for Sponsorship and is also part of the Programs Committee. In 2022, Nate won SMPS Atlanta's Pacesetter Award, which is presented to a member who has been involved with the chapter for over three years, and who, through their achievements, has demonstrated that they are a consummate A/E/C Marketer/Business Developer. Additionally, SMPS has facilitated networking and exposure to potential clients that ultimately helped grow Nate's book of business. 

Nate’s advice to new and legacy members is to get involved and attend events! The Winter and Spring programs provide great continuing education content and networking opportunities.
