Lord Aeck Sargent

Ken Higa is Principal in the Education Studio and Director of Client Development with Lord Aeck Sargent.

Ken has nearly 20 years experience with a specific focus on strategic facility planning for institutions of higher education and non-profit organizations. In addition to this, Ken is an award winning graphic designer.

He received a Bachelor of Architecture and Bachelor of Science – Building Sciences from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and a Master of Business Administration from Georgia State University.

He is currently serving as the Southern Region Membership Coordinator for the Society of College & University Planners; Member of the Advisory Council for the Architecture Department at Southern Polytechnic State University; and Corporate Partner for the South Atlanta School Computer Animation and Design.

He is a past board member of the Georgia Chapter of the American Institute of Architects and recipient of two Presidential Citations for service to the chapter

His accomplishments include being Architect for the Re-design of the Jim Thorpe Memorial in Jim Thorpe, Pennsylvania and a design competition winner for the Rensselaer County Vietnam Memorial in Troy, New York.

His past community service includes: Advisory Council for the School of Accountancy at Georgia State University, Business Volunteer for the Arts for the Metro Atlanta Arts & Business Council / Metro Atlanta Chamber of Commerce; Board Member and recipient of the 300th Wish Award for the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Northeast NY, and Board Member for Vet Care Corp. at the Stratton VA Medical Center.
