Steve Ryherd, President-Elect, is a principal consultant at Arpeggio Acoustic Consulting, and he has developed a great respect for the business development and marketing activities that drive the AEC industry. Since becoming a member of SMPS Atlanta in 2009, Steve has served as co-chair of the Education committee, participated in the Atlanta chapter’s mentoring program, received the chapter’s “Rising Star” award in 2011, and currently serves as President-Elect.
Within Arpeggio, Steve serves a business development and marketing role in addition to his technical responsibilities as a principal consultant. He began his career as an acoustic consultant at Arpeggio in 2007, and he combines his expertise in building systems with his passion for acoustics. His background in building systems engineering stems from his Master’s degree in Architectural Engineering from the University of Nebraska. Expanding on his experience in building systems, he focused in acoustics with a Master’s degree in Applied Acoustics from Chalmers University of Technology in Gothenburg, Sweden.
Arpeggio Acoustic Consulting provides architects, engineers, and owners the expertise and guidance to make informed decisions about acoustic issues in the built environment. The firm specializes in room acoustics, mechanical noise control, sound isolation, and environment noise. Acoustic consulting services include acoustic design, modeling predictions, and field measurements. Arpeggio’s portfolio spans the building industry from performance spaces to government offices and from healthcare facilities to environmental noise assessments.
